These include, among others:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 The <strong>Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 The <strong>Single-Use Plastics Directive (SUPD)<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 The <strong>Green Claims Directive (GCD)<\/strong><br \/>\u2022 Additional requirements under the Empowering Consumers for the Green Transition Directive (ECGT)<br \/>\u2022 Updated microplastic standards under <strong>REACH<\/strong> as of late 2023.<\/p>\n<p>With these updates, flustix enables its licensees to label and declare products and packaging in compliance with the latest EU requirements. The foundation for this is always the internationally recognised definition of plastic. Unlike some market players who exclude elastomers from their plastic definitions, flustix operates without such exceptions. <strong>Plastic at flustix is clearly defined<\/strong>\u2014no footnotes, asterisks, or loopholes\u2014based on international standards and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Enhanced Compliance for Packaging under the PPWR <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The requirements of the PPWR, including the <strong>95\/5 rule<\/strong>, are already integrated into flustix certification schemes. This rule states that the primary material of packaging must comprise at least 95%, with a maximum of 5% allocated to secondary or foreign materials. This ensures that packaging remains within the recycling stream of its primary material, minimising downcycling.
