Berlin \/ W\u00fcrzburg, 21 April 2026<\/strong><\/em> \u2013 Kneipp<\/span><\/span> is one of the leading providers of nature-based body care and health products and is now taking the next consistent step in its sustainability commitment: an initial range of 16 body care products has been successfully certified according to the flustix standard \u201cProduct Content Microplastic-Free.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

The certification is based on the internationally recognised definition of microplastics under REACH and goes significantly beyond conventional ingredient checks. The results of the product assessment show that Kneipp refrains from the use of solid synthetic polymers as well as other commonly used plastic components.<\/p>\n\n

As part of the flustix certification, products are tested by independent, accredited laboratories in line with the latest state of the art and current requirements under accredited conditions, and the process is overseen by T\u00dcV S\u00dcD. For microplastic detection, the highest level of analytical precision is applied in accordance with current best practice. In addition, water-soluble synthetic polymers are assessed in a differentiated manner: Kneipp does not use substances that are poorly biodegradable with high molecular chain lengths.<\/p>\n\n

The result: the products submitted by Kneipp as part of the certification process meet the strict requirements and have been certified with the \u201cflustix PLASTIKFREI \u2013 Product Content Microplastic-Free\u201d trustmark within a certification process overseen by T\u00dcV S\u00dcD.<\/p>\n\n
