Kordon Methylene Blue offers reliable protection against superficial fungal infections in fish. It serves as a viable substitute for Malachite Green when treating fish that are sensitive to it. This product is also safe for fish eggs and fry, helping to prevent fungal growth. Additionally, it can combat certain external protozoan infections, including Ichthyophthirius (Ich), Chilodonella, and Costia. WARNING: Methylene Blue is toxic to aquatic plants and disrupts biological filtration, which can lead to spikes in ammonia or nitrite levels. For safety, treatments should be conducted in a dedicated hospital tank or separate container. Be aware that this solution may permanently stain the silicone sealant in aquariums.
