Mayco Speckled Stroke & Coat "SP" Wonderglazes are an enhanced version of Mayco's popular Stroke & Coat "SC" line of liquid ceramic pottery glazes! These heavily pigmented, viscous glazes have small specks of contrasting hues that do not melt or flow when fired to Cone 06 or Cone 05, adding dimension and visual appeal to your creations. Can also be high-fired; specks melt and flow slightly, and lighter colored specks tend to fade or burn out, when fired to Cone 5/6 and above. These versatile, low/mid-high fire glazes can be applied to wet/unfired clay or bisque and are suitable for both brush stroke and opaque coverage. One coat creates a translucent finish, with subsequent coats adding opacity; 2-3 coats are recommended for full opacity and all-over coverage. Let dry between coats. Glazes fire to a gloss finish without clear glaze. Use these glazes to create intricate, detailed designs; colors can butt up to one another without moving. Intermixable; create custom shades! Thin with water to create a “wash” or watercolor style of design.
