The essentials
A sub-license is required when the flustix trustmark is to be used on an already certified product with individual branding (i.e. branding that differs from the certificate holder). No sub-license is required for design adjustments without individual branding.
To ensure full transparency, regulatory conformity and consumer protection, the branding of the certified product must match the flustix trustmark used, including the unique license number. This maintains the clear link between product, certification and certificate holder.
Applying for a sub-license is simple and purely document-based, with a processing time of approximately 2 weeks. No additional laboratory tests or conformity assessments are required.
At a glance
The main licensee has their product tested and certified once. Building on this, their customers, the brand owners, receive their own sub-license with their own license number, entirely without repeat testing.

Certification
If a manufacturer wants to label their product with a flustix trustmark, they submit product samples (material samples) and the associated data to flustix and our independent partner laboratories. Our partners then examine the item using the latest analytical methods. The examination and its result ultimately serve as the basis for awarding the trustmark, which is issued by our accredited certification partners.
