flustix provides companies with recognised, internationally protected trustmarks for labelling plastic-sustainable goods, products and packaging. Each trustmark clearly communicates your certified product's specific contribution to plastic sustainability, at the point of sale and across all marketing channels.
One consistent sustainability promise across your entire product portfolio.

Our Trustmarks
Every flustix certification is built on independent verification, accredited testing partners and public verifiability. The recognised trustmarks for different products, markets and regulatory requirements can be combined flexibly, creating a consistent environmental-claim strategy across your entire product portfolio.
Certified recycled content based on DIN EN 15343 and ISO 22095. Cross-material verification of recycled content, supporting PPWR, EmpCo, plastic tax and EPR-related communication.
Certified recyclability of packaging in line with PPWR-related recyclability classes A–C. A robust basis for substantiated recyclability claims, PPWR readiness and potential EPR-related benefits.
At least 99.25% plastic-free product. Ideal for substantiated B2C communication and as robust evidence within the scope of SUPD-related market requirements across numerous European countries, especially for hygiene products and take-away goods.
At least 95% plastic-free packaging. Independent certification for plastic-free packaging communication at the point of sale, including documentation for the PPWR 95/5 rule and potential cost savings within existing EU EPR systems.
The most comprehensive Less Plastics certification for product and packaging combined. Product and packaging are independently certified together, creating maximum credibility with consumers, retailers and authorities.
Your advantage
Whether your company relies on plastic-reduced or microplastic-free materials, uses recycled resources or develops innovative, recyclable packaging, the flustix trustmarks provide independent verification to communicate your commitment to sustainability clearly and transparently. Independently tested, based on third-party certification and publicly verifiable in the flustix certification database.

Standards & regulation
flustix certifications support you in demonstrating the conformity of your products and packaging with international standards such as REACH and the PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation). At the same time, you prepare your company for compliance with the Green Claims Directive. In addition, all flustix trustmarks serve as proof within the scope of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR).

flustix issues seven specialised trustmarks for plastic sustainability: LESS PLASTICS for the product, the packaging and the whole product, plus MICROPLASTIC-FREE, RECYCLED, RECYCLABLE and PFAS-FREE. Each one substantiates a nameable property rather than a general claim. Depending on the scheme, testing is done by accredited laboratories or by a supply chain audit, and conformity is assessed by independent certification partners. Every certificate carries a licence number and can be looked up in the public database.
From 27 September 2026 the EmpCo Directive sets the answer. A sustainability label may then only be shown to consumers if it rests on a certification scheme or was established by a public authority. Self-awarded logos are out. For retail this means the label has to be verifiable: a published scheme, an independent assessment, a licence number and ongoing surveillance.
That depends on what the existing certification covers. A supply chain or mass balance record documents the route of the material, not the property of the individual product on the shelf. A claim printed on the pack needs evidence whose subject is exactly that claim. Where a certification already exists, the flustix sub-licence model can transfer it to the specific product under defined conditions instead of rebuilding the whole chain.
Neither term is legally protected. A test mark emphasises that testing took place, but it does not say who tested: a manufacturer testing its own product may display one too. A quality label is not limited to the environment and equally covers safety or origin. More robust than the words is the classification in the ISO 14020 series: type I is a scheme run by an independent body, type II a self-declaration by the manufacturer.
At flustix the certification partner arranges it, not you. Depending on the scheme, the document review is followed either by analysis in a laboratory accredited to ISO/IEC 17025 or by a supply chain audit carried out by qualified auditors. The results then go into an independent conformity assessment. So you neither select nor commission a laboratory yourself.
Expect four to twelve weeks from enquiry to certificate. The range comes from the scheme, from the number of products and from how quickly documents and samples are available. Where a material or a pack is already certified, the sub-licence model is considerably faster: around two weeks.
