An independent seal for labelling recyclability: “flustix RECYCLABLE – DIN plus”

Berlin, March 2021. flustix has made it its mission to implement plastic sustainability quickly and purposefully, because doing so is indispensable if the climate targets are to be met. To that end the sustainability initiative is now offering, together with its established certification partner DIN CERTCO (TÜV Rheinland), the seal “flustix RECYCLABLE – DIN plus” for goods and packaging made from circular materials – simple, reliable and free from system-dependent providers. Since the German Packaging Act came into force at the beginning of 2019, companies placing packaging on the market have been responsible for ensuring that their products and packaging are taken back and recovered. The aim of the law is to finally create clean and effective material loops.

With the seal “flustix RECYCLABLE – DIN plus”, flustix – Rethink Plastics, in cooperation with DIN CERTCO, certifies the recyclability of products and packaging within the framework of the Packaging Act, thereby promoting transparent and genuinely sustainable loops for raw materials. The assessment is based on a laboratory analysis in which the recyclability of the materials used in the product or the packaging is verified. Manufacturers of recoverable products and/or packaging can apply for the “flustix RECYCLABLE – DIN plus” mark without complications and benefit from financial as well as communication advantages.
