flustix is looking for the #Recycled-Star 2021

Reducing plastic is essential if we want to minimise plastic waste in the environment. But what do we do with all the plastic that is already in circulation? A functioning circular economy is an important part of tackling the plastic waste problem and helps to conserve valuable resources.
That is why, alongside its four plastic-free seals, flustix also offers the flustix RECYCLED seal.
What is the flustix RECYCLED seal?
The seal is awarded to goods or components of any kind that are made entirely or partly from secondary plastics. The percentage of recyclate is established through an audit and an analysis of the production process, carried out by our certification partner DIN CERTCO / TÜV Rheinland. It is a reliable and economical way of making the use of recycled plastic visible at a single glance, for industry and consumers alike.
A number of companies have already recognised this and use recyclate to manufacture their products and/or packaging. It goes into products of every kind, from sportswear and prams to backpacks and the everyday shampoo bottle.
How does the #Recycled-Star 2021 work?
Do you know a company that makes products or packaging from plastic recyclate – or perhaps even work for one? Then nominate that company by tagging it under the #Recycled-Star post on our Instagram, Facebook or LinkedIn page.
Nominations are open up to and including 24 March 2021. We will then contact the companies and inform them of their nomination. If they agree to take part, there will be a vote on the winner of the #Recycled-Star 2021. After passing the assessment, the #Recycled-Star may carry our flustix RECYCLED seal free of charge* (mark and licence fees) for two years.
We look forward to your nominations!
*As part of the Recycled-Star 2021, only the flustix mark and licence fees are waived for the winning company, not the testing costs charged by DIN CERTCO. More information about the fees can be found here.
