flustix Sub-Licensing System

Receiving certification for Brand Owners, Private & White Label Products made simple

Scope of Application

A sub-license is required if  a company intends to apply the flustix seal to a certified product with a customized branding (i.e., different from the main certificate holder’s branding). For art designs that do not include customized branding, a sub-license is not required.

Why is a Sub-License Required?

To ensure full transparency, regulatory compliance, and consumer protection, it is mandatory that the branding of the certified product aligns with the applied flustix seal, including its unique license number. This ensures that the product, certification, and certificate holder remain clearly linked.

How does the process work?

Companies can obtain a sub-license through a quick, purely document-based process, with a typical turnaround time of approximately 2 weeks.

To apply for a sub-license, the following steps are required:

  1. The sub-licensee completes the application form for the requested certification (e.g., Less Plastics – XX% Plastic-Free, Microplastic-Free, Recycled).
  2. A sub-license agreement is signed by both parties – the main license holder and the sub-license holder.
  3. Please send the completed documents to flustix (contact@flustix.com) to receive a quotation and start the process.

THE flustix SUB-LICENSE SYSTEM

Benefits of the flustix Sub-Licensing System

For Main License Holders:

Enables to offer existing and potential customers the added value of obtaining their own flustix certificate and seal.

For Sub-License Holders:

After completing the process, the sub-licensee receives:

• Their own certificate
• A unique license number
• flustix seal for use on-product & online in various marketing applications
• A public database entry
• The supplier’s identity remains confidential

Your customers can apply their own branding to your pre-certified product without undergoing full testing and certification.
No need to undergo laboratory testing or conformity assessment
Provides a competitive advantage and a strong sales argument, as independent third-party certification is becoming increasingly important for safe green claiming and, already in some cases, mandatory.
The main license holder remains responsible for regular monitoring tests/audits for the certified product.

The flustix sub-licensing system provides a simple and efficient solution for ensuring transparency and compliance while offering flexibility and added value for both license holders and their customers.
