The flustix LESS PLASTICS trustmark limits the plastic content to a defined threshold; the assessed figure appears on the trustmark itself as MIN. X % PLASTIC-FREE. The certification expressly draws no comparison with other products or with what is usual in the sector, but measures against a fixed limit. That is precisely what makes the claim robust: there is no comparison for it to rest on. This mark assesses the product itself, not its packaging. Where fibre-based materials from the wastepaper stream are used, the tolerance limits for unwanted constituents follow DIN EN 643.
Copecto develops payment and identity cards made of wood. Its TIMBERCARD brand combines FSC-certified wood with an EMV chip and NFC; the company states it is the first wooden payment card certified by Visa and Mastercard.
