flustix certifies massage oils and lubricants from the Loovara Prime Line

First products in the intimate care segment certified as free from microplastics
A first in cosmetics: after successful testing, the products in the Prime Line from intimate care company Loovara may carry the flustix microplastic-free seal. That makes Loovara the first supplier to offer certified microplastic-free intimate care products in its range.
Verifiably free from microplastics – after successful testing, flustix has certified products from the Prime Line by Loovara. The tested and certified products comprise seven massage oils and four lubricants in total. On receiving the flustix microplastic-free seal, Loovara becomes the first supplier in the intimate care segment to offer verifiably microplastic-free articles in its range, positioning itself as a pioneer.
Already established in countries such as the USA, the UK and Sweden, a ban on the use of microplastics in cosmetics – because of their unclear effect on human health and their harmful effect on the environment – is still under discussion in Germany. Yet pressure and demand from consumers for certified microplastic-free products are growing. By voluntarily doing without microplastics in their products, companies such as Loovara are taking on a pioneering role.
“Ecological, social and economic sustainability are the core aspects of Loovara – and they are reflected in all our products. Our range is manufactured under strictly controlled production processes ‘made in EU’ and therefore meets high quality standards. We rely on raw materials whose origin and processing we can verify, and we do without unnecessary additives – microplastics clearly among them. With independent certification as microplastic-free we now give our customers even greater assurance and offer transparency at the moment of purchase,” says Anton Kerler, managing director of Loovara.
“Awareness of the risks of plastics – for people and the environment – keeps growing, and with it demand for verifiably microplastic-free products. Clear labelling of ingredients is particularly important for decision-making when buying sensitive products. This is where the flustix microplastic-free seal offers certified assurance for our customers. For companies, this certification – which serves consumers at the point of sale as clear guidance and decision support – thereby becomes a selling point. We are delighted that with Loovara an innovative intimate care brand is now also relying on the only tested certification of its kind,” explains Malte Biss, founder of flustix.
Alongside the microplastic-free label awarded to Loovara, flustix offers three further plastic-free seals, which likewise rely on independent testing procedures by accredited laboratories, including the Wessling Group, as well as on the reliable certification and licensing expertise of DIN CERTCO. flustix certifies freedom from plastic for the product, the packaging, or the cumulative product consisting of packaging and contents. In addition, the flustix RECYCLED seal certifies products containing plastic recyclate.
